OUR QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA) PROGRAM

Galion is a leading U.S. manufacturer of high volume precision machined products with a reputation for stringent quality. Galion is registered as an ISO 9001 company. ISO procedures allow Galion to consistently produce high-quality products which is incorporated into every facet of the company's operations.

HOW WE IMPLEMENT QUALITY ASSURANCE

We maintain a well equipped metrology laboratory. The company uses a Helmel© “Phoenix” CMM for accurate X,Y and Z coordinate measuring in resolutions of 0.5µm (.000020"). We use the latest in digital hand measuring devices from Mitutoyo© (calipers, micrometers and height stands) for the most accurate measuring methods possible for the “on the floor” data gathering.

Galion has also implemented a new SPC recording system in cooperation with DataMyte©. We employ the use of hand held DataMytes© units in the factory to record all critical dimensions. These remote data gatherers allow us to then download the raw data into our software and report trends and process capabilities on the products during the phases of the manufacturing.
